Best Perennial Flowers for Spring Gardens

Daffodils in Spring

This article will be moving to my new blog: My Flower Garden Get A Way

I love flowers, the more the better! When we moved out to the country I had all the room I needed to plant all the flowers I wanted and I went crazy! I created more flowerbeds than I could keep up with. I knew that I wanted to plant mostly perennials so I would not have to re-plant each year. I spent hundreds of dollars planting flowers that I really knew nothing about. After several years of trial and error, and learning a lot, I have found several perennial flowers that are not only hardy, but also very easy to care for. These are what I consider to be the best perennial flowers for spring gardens. They are hardy plants that need little care.

The Pit Bull Dog - Once Known as the Nanny Dog - What Happened?

The Pit Bull Dog - Once Known as the Nanny Dog - What Happened?

In the early part of the 1900’s, the Pit Bull Dog was known as the “Nanny Dog”. Why, you ask? If you wanted to keep your children safe, the pit bull was the most faithful and loving dog of any breed, especially with children. They were strong and loyal and loved children. If your child had a pit bull dog as a pet, you felt that they were safe. So what happened?

Ironically enough it is the wonderful qualities of the pit bull that have attracted it to the “criminal element” that have victimized this wonderful breed of dog. The Pit Bull breed is strong, and very intelligent. They are loyal and courageous. Their main goal is to please their owner. Yes, they look tough, but they have not been referred to as the “Nanny Dog” for almost 100 years for nothing! At one time the pit bull dogs were the most beloved dogs in England and the United States. Read more ...

Squirrel Proof Your Birdfeeder

Squirrel Eating at Birdfeeder
If you have a bird feeder at your house to attract birds, you probably have attracted some squirrels also. I love feeding and watching the birds, but the squirrels were scaring away the birds and eating most of the food. I needed to find a way to squirrel proof my bird feeder.

I love to attract birds to my yard, so my husband put up a bird feeder right outside one of our windows. This does attract many different birds to our house, which I love to take pictures of, but it also attracts the squirrels. I don’t really mind feeding the squirrels, but they chase of the birds and eat all their food. I was filling up the bird feeder everyday!

Credit Cards - Dont Fall into the Credit Card Trap

Let me take just a moment and give you a little history on myself. I recently worked for a very reputable debt settlement company for about 8 years. (I am now retired.) I have talked to thousands, yes thousands of people who are in debt of anywhere from as little as $5,000. and up to more than $100,000.00. in just credit cards. I have helped an array of struggling people from doctors and teachers, police and fireman, blue-collar workers, preachers and college students. Anyone can fall in to the credit card trap. I no longer have anything to do with any type of debt-company. I am here to give you some information to help keep you from becoming one of those people who are going to need outside help because of the credit card trap!

An Original Gift for Valentine’s Day - Miniature Rose Bush

Miniature Rose Bush

Are you looking for a original gift for Valentine’s Day for that special lady in your life, but you want to give something a little different? Instead of giving her roses that will die in a few days, why not give her roses that will last forever?
Instead of giving a vase of cut roses, give her a miniature rose bush! She will still have the beauty of roses and that special feeling of love on Valentine’s Day, but will have them to look at forever! I told my husband years ago, don’t spend money on something that I will only be able to enjoy for a few days, get something I can plant and enjoy forever! Miniature roses are a great and original idea! You can buy a pretty red pot and place them inside. They can remain in the pot until the weather allows you to plant them outside. They can be re-potted easily and will be beautiful all growing season.  Read more ...
